140,252, to be precise actually! Please keep in mind that this doesn't accurately reflect the total number of riders, as one bike ride could easily be counted at multiple locations. It does however, show which areas of the county are most popular as transportation and recreational routes. Not bad for January, even if it was fairly mild in temperature.

I would be really interested to see ridership along the W+OD (and eventually the C+O). It would be really interesting to see trends between Arlington/Falls Church/Vienna/Reston/Herndon/Leesburg/points west.

Of course, Arlington isn't clever enough to provide opt-out for riders who don't wish to be monitored or "counted."

D.C. should look at this data and realize that it needs a bike lane on M Street -- not just the long-planned one through the business district, but also through Georgetown to Key Bridge.
