From Thursday, August 19th through Sunday, August 22nd the Capital Bikeshare team will be at the Arlington County Fair to give attendees a chance to check out the new bikes and docking stations. We'll be set up near the entrance by the Mobile Commuter Store to take memberships and answer questions. We'll even be giving out 24-hour memberships so that you can try out the system for free when it launches in September!
The Arlington County Fair is located at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center at 3501 South Second Street. With limited parking at the Community Center, please use the shuttle system or ride your bike.
BikeArlington is an initiative of Arlington County, Virginia to encourage and enable more people to go by bike more often. To stay up to date on biking in Arlington, follow BikeArlington on Twitter.
Bike-sharing is a great new fenomena. It has become popular in Sweden, in Gothenburg you can rent a bike in most part of the city, and many cities set up these things close to train/bus stations... And people use it all the time. Good Luck!
