This was a nice treat of an email to wake up to this morning: Zipcar just introduced an overnight rate of $34 for reservations made between 6pm and 8:30am, Monday through Thursday. I'm already thinking of errands in the 'burbs that I need to run that I've been putting off or don't want to pay weekend rates to do. I hate driving during rush hours, so I'd be reluctant to get up any earlier in the mornings, but if you live close to work or like traffic more than I do, it seems like a pretty good deal. The special rate is good through the end of September, and there are some restrictions on the types of cars you can take (so don't plan on taking that hot date to dinner and a movie in one of their BMWs under this plan).
The only downside is that the Ikea is probably going to get a lot busier on weeknights.
