This week marks the 25th anniversary of the Alexandria Transit Company aka DASH.
DASH is celebrating by giving riders a newly redesigned website complete with a Trip Planner that utilizes Google Transit on Google Maps. Today (March 11th) DASH is offering free rides to anyone wearing their "I LOVE DASH" buttons. And they're also offering a "Catch the Bus" photo contest through August 21st.
So don't believe everything you've read on Greater, Greater Washington today. While it's great that WMATA is finally about to get on board with Google Transit. Some area transit agencies don't need to "follow their lead". Been there, done that, and caught the DASH bus.

Congratulations to DASH on the b-day and for leading the way with Google Transit in this area. And great news about Metro releasing their data. Thanks for pointing me to it.
